Fault / Error Action
Toner not fixing to paper or smudging.
Fuser error. Check the 2 blue pressure levers are in the down position. If error persists
replace fuser unit Order Code: RG5-4448-050 (5SI/8000) RG5-4319 (8100/8150)
Poor feed / paper jams / multi-feeding
Fit paper feed repair kit. Order Code: FKITLJ5SI (5SI/8000) FKITLJ8100 (8100/8150)
Paper jamming from Tray 3 or 4. (Vertical feed
assembly on right hand side door)
The one way bearing is slipping on the vertical feed rollers. Lubricate the one way bearing. If
the problem persists replace Tray 2/3 assembly. Order Code: RG5-1852 (5SI/8000) RG5-
4334 (8100/8150) Please note this is a very common fault with these printers.
Paper jamming in exit assembly.
The upper and lower delivery rollers are worn. Replace rollers. Order Code: RB1-6686 and
RB1-6687
Error code 13
Paper jam error. Remove jammed paper (media) and replace worn tyres and pads where
needed or fit paper feed repair kit. Order Code: FKITLJ5SI (5SI/8000) FKITLJ8100
(8100/8150)
Error code 50 Service
The printer is due a service. Fit the maintenance kit and reset the count. Order Code:
MKIT5SI (5SI/8000 MKIT8100 (8100/8150) See below for maintenance count reset.
Error code 66
External or input device error. Check and reseat all device cables.
Factory reset. (Cold Reset)
Turn the printer off. Whilst Turning the printer back on, press and hold the Go button until the
message Cold Reset is shown on the display.
Maintenance Count Reset
Turn the printer off. Whilst Turning the printer back on, press and hold the Item & Value
Buttons to the left hand side, until the message Reset Maintenance count is show on the
display.
User Maintenance Reset
Press the Menu button 4 times to get the configuration menu, then press the item button to
display the message Service Message Off. Once the message has appeared, press the
enter button followed by the online button.
